Damage Criteria

We’re so sorry if your book arrived damaged! We take great care in packing and shipping our items, but occasionally damage can be missed or occur during transit. This policy explains how we handle replacements so we can resolve the issue as quickly and as fairly as possible.

All damage and replacement claims must be submitted within 14 days of you receiving your book/s. Claims after this period won’t be accepted.


What Qualifies as Damage

A scratch that is larger than 2 cm on the front cover, back cover or spine

Tears or rips on the interior that are larger than 2 cm

Dents and crushed corners that are bigger than 1 cm

Bent pages

Water damage

Foil, cover design or fore-edge misalignment that is 5mm or more off the intended alignment

A missing signature (only applies to books that were supposed to have a signature)

Extremely blurred fore-edges

Major imperfections on printed edges including ink blots over 1 cm.

What Does Not Qualify as Damage

Minor misalignment of cover, spine, edges or foiling

Minor imperfections on printed edges (this includes faint scratches and small white spots)

Minor creases or folds on the spine

Ink bleed-through

Slightly blurry edges

Wavy pages

Minor interior
imperfections

Minor binding imperfections

If you have received a book you think qualifies as damage, but cannot see the damage listed here, please contact us on info@everheartbooks.com

*UK customers will need to return the damaged product before a replacement can be sent, but the shipping costs will be covered by EverHeart. International customers will be asked to destroy the damaged book and send proof before a replacement can be sent, but the shipping costs will be covered by EverHeart.
